Equality Objectives

At Launde Primary School, we are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment where every child can thrive. These equality objectives reflect our values and the needs of our community. If you would like to learn more about how we promote equality and inclusion, please refer to our Equality Policy, available on the school website or from the school office.

In order to achieve this, we have set the following equality objectives:

2025 - 2027

1. Promote Inclusive Curriculum Representation

Objective: Ensure that the curriculum reflects the diversity of Launde’s school community and wider society, by embedding inclusive texts, role models, and cultural perspectives across all subjects.

Why it matters: This supports pupils in feeling seen and valued, and helps all children develop respect and understanding of different backgrounds.

2. Narrow Attainment Gaps through Targeted Support

Objective: Identify and reduce attainment gaps for pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds, including those eligible for Pupil Premium, EAL learners, and SEND pupils, through tailored interventions and staff training.

Why it matters: This objective aligns with your leadership in analysing KS1 maths performance and ensures equity in academic outcomes.

3. Foster a Culture of Belonging and Respect

Objective: Strengthen pupil voice and wellbeing by implementing regular opportunities for children to share experiences, celebrate identity, and contribute to school decision-making — with a focus on respect, kindness, and anti-bullying.

Why it matters: A sense of belonging is key to engagement and achievement, and this objective supports emotional development and inclusive values.
