Whether you are considering joining us in Reception, exploring an in-year transfer from another school, or simply would like to look around, this is a great opportunity to experience life at Launde Primary School. During your visit, you will be able to tour the school, visit classrooms, see learning in action, and ask any questions you may have about our curriculum, provision, and school community.
What parents say about Launde Primary School:
“A school that listens and growing minds cared for”
“We have had an incredibly positive experience with Launde Primary School. From the moment you walk through the gates, it’s clear that this is a school where children are not just "pupils," but individuals who are truly known and valued by the staff."
"There is a strong sense of community here. The staff go above and beyond to ensure every child feels safe, included, and supported, regardless of their starting point."
"Launde Primary provides the perfect blend of a warm "family feel" and a high-achieving academic culture. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to any parent looking for a school that nurtures both the heart and the mind. “
“Launde Primary School has provided a supportive and encouraging environment for both of my children. The staff genuinely care, and we’ve seen them grow both academically and personally.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be in the catchment area to apply? No, you do not need to live in our catchment area to apply for a place at Launde Primary School. We welcome applications from families both within and outside the catchment area. While catchment can be a factor in school admissions, places are allocated according to the school's admissions criteria.
We encourage all interested families to apply and come and visit us to see what makes Launde such a special place to learn. If you have any questions about admissions or your chances of securing a place, please get in touch and we'll be happy to help. 😊
Do I have to have already applied? No. Most parents visit before they apply — that's exactly what these tours are for.
Can I bring my child? Yes, please do. It helps enormously for them to see the school too.
What if my child has additional needs? A personal tour is ideal for this. We'll have time to discuss your child's needs in detail and we can show you the specific provision we have in place and even book some time in for you to meet the SENCo.
Can I come outside school hours? Yes — We do offer some before-school and after-school slots for working parents. Just let me know what works.
Is there any obligation? None at all. This is just a chance to see the school and ask your questions.
Is parking available? Please park on the nearby streets and walk to the school via the pedestrian gates at the bottom of New Street and then head straight to the school office.
What should my child wear? There's no need for school uniform when you visit. We recommend that children wear comfortable clothing and sensible shoes so they can relax, play, and enjoy exploring our learning environment. We want them to feel happy, confident, and ready to join in with all the fun activities! 😊
