A very warm welcome to all families receiving their school offer on 16 April.
We are delighted that your child has been offered a place at Launde Primary School, and we look forward to beginning this exciting journey with you. Joining a new school is a special moment for every family, and over the next few months our aim is to help you and your child feel part of the Launde community from the very start.
What Happens Next?
Over the coming days and weeks, you can expect:
📨 A Welcome Letter for Parents
You will receive a detailed letter outlining next steps, key dates, and everything you need to know about starting at Launde.
🎁 A Special Delivery for Your Child
We will also send your child a small, personalised piece of post to help them begin to feel excited and connected to their new school.
🤝 Welcome Events & Transition Activities
Between now and August, we will host several opportunities for you and your child to visit Launde, meet staff, explore our environment, and get to know other families.
These events are designed to make the transition smooth, positive and enjoyable.

A School that's been on a Rapid Improvement Journey
Although our OFSTED inspection in November 2023 judged the school as Requires Improvement, we are a very different school today. Over the past year we have undergone a period of significant, positive transformation, including:
- A new and ambitious leadership team, driving high standards and a clear strategic vision.
- A fully renewed curriculum across every subject, developed with curriculum experts from both the local authority and the Flying High Partnership.
- Improved learning environments across the school, with further trust‑led investment planned for the year ahead.
- A strong and positive culture, where relationships, high expectations and kindness shape everyday life at school.
Our journey has been rapid, purposeful and focused entirely on giving every child the best possible education.
