At Launde Primary School, we aim to provide the best PE and sports provision possible. We are determined to provide high quality lessons as well as striving to provide an environment that is inclusive, enabling ALL pupils to build their confidence, enjoy participating and appreciate the importance of sporting activities as part of a healthy lifestyle. 

The government provides additional funding for schools to imporve further the provision of physical education and sport in primary schools. The funding is provided jointly by the Department of Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport and is allocated directly to primary schools to achieve the Department of Education's vision for PE and Sport premium which is:

'All pupils leaving primary school will be physically literate and have the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.'

Funding for schools is calculated from figures collected from the annual census in January.
