Christmas Jumper Day

13 December 2019

Today we joined the country in Christmas Jumper day, raising money for Save the Children.

Children were asked to come in their Christmas jumpers, in return for £1 donation for the charity.

There were some super jumpers seen around the school  - here is a photo of one child who came to visit the office with her home designed jumper - very impressive. Thank you for your support. It was fabulous to see all the colourful jumpers. We managed to raise £440 for the charity.

Mrs Burgess, from the Save the Children charity, came with her Christmas jumper on, to deliver an assembly to our Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils. She explained how poor some children are both in our country and in other countries around the world and that the money raised will go towards ensuring their is clean water, basic food and toys such as teddies and pencil crayons for the children. Do ave a look on their website to find out more:

It is really important at this time of year, when their is many treats for us in store, to remember and give to support others less fortunate than ourselves.

Thank you for your support.
